March Hatch A Long... anyone with me??

Help Precious is still on the nest, but we no longer hear peeping and can see nothing. What should I do?

I think a teeny bleeding is ok, it will stop quickly,
as for dragging something, sounds like the yolk, not totally absorbed yet, but it will... i have one like that this hatch.
I have had a few 'stuck' in the eggs, seems like some hop right out, some can't get momentum... but eventually they do.
Two of mine pipped the wrong end this time! one I helped a bit, and then finally hatched as he was getting no where... he's fine
the other one I laid the egg on it's side, and it was moving, but watched it a few minutes and it died! I hatched it quickly, but no luck, it was dead! right before my eyes, so very sad... it looked perfect, just didn't get turned over...

I have three others not hatched but eight fuzz butts that are happy campers and keeping us entertained!

congrats to you all on new hatches!

I think those problems with bleeding and not quite absorbed yolk are more common with early hatches. That's why it's important to aim at the right temp (not too high). Still, yolk get absorbed quickly and the cord needs to dry out and then it falls off - so don't worry. Next time try lowering temp in the bator a bit.

I just got my DDS to help me and we lifted her up. There were two beautiful fluffy chicks. Still lots of eggs left to hatch but I can wait knowing Mom really does know her business. Couldn't get a picture Precious went bazerk and wanted back down pronto. I will let he be now and hope we get to see the cuties again soon.

Candled last night (day 10) and 7 of the store eggs were clear (the other 5 are under the broody). I also so had a clear cornish egg. Didn't check the eggs under the broody. Down to 33 eggs, counting the broody's.

Tomorrow's my first lockdown! I'm pretty sure I have 10 Buff Orpingtons, 4 Blue Orpingtons, and hopefully 6 Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas left. I also still have 16 BCM eggs in there that are just too dark for me to candle, so I'm not sure how those are doing.

I'm going to post some candeling pics today. This is my first hatch, so I really don't have much to compare with except other photos I've seen posted on the web. It seems that all of my Ameraucana eggs have much bigger air spaces then my other eggs. Hopefully once I post some pics someone can give me an idea of what's going on with them...

I think my March hatch along has ended - went into lockdown with 9 viable good emryo babies - day 21 - still nothing - not sure what went wrong - first try and very frustrating
