March Hatch A Long... anyone with me??

Seven chicks and counting!

I woke up at 3 am and went to check on them to find a chick! It's now 8:30 and we have 7! With quite a few more pips!

Question: My chicks are VERY hyper and are kicking and moving around eggs like crazy--- even eggs that have pipped. If the pip hole has moved to the bottom, should I be concerned? Or will the chick figure it out anyway?

FarmerVal - I think the majority of hatchers say to leave the bator shut until the hatch is done. I know that is difficult but I have head of chicks getting "shrink wrapped" in the shell because of humidity loss.

What kind of humidity should it be?? I think i'm too low... b/c my fluffies aren't fluffy...

I've been at 65 degrees here too. Although this morning at around 5:30 am I saw that it dipped. I added just a little water, went back to sleep and woke up and hour later to foggy windows and humidity at 80 or so! I opened the lid just barely to let the humidity back down and now I'm running at 70. I've had two chicks hatch despite this so I'm hoping I didn't cause any damage.

** I should add that they look a lot fluffier in this picture than they do in real life. My fluffiest one is still damp looking and was born at between 1:00-3:00 am....

I did this yesterday after noticing that we had pips! Didn't take too long for me to get set up though... We're just using a big rubbermaid container. We pretty much had all the supplies minus the food, hello! So yesterday while running errands I picked some up. Now I just need a new waterer. I filled mine up and it's leaking.
