Ok so I have eggs being shipped to me. I've read that you should let them rest for 24 hours before setting. Anything else I should be doing before hand?

I let mine set that long, sometimes. It's according to how long they were out before getting to me. If they took longer than 4 days, I'm setting them at 12 hrs. The longer they are out, the older they are, and we aren't always sure about how long the folks took to collect the eggs.

So. I got my genesis set up! Yay! But how long will it take for the light to stop blinking? Its at temp, but just keep blinking away! lol Idk how long b4 I can set new eggs!!

Is it blinking..or going off and on? Going off and on means it's where it is going to stay, unless you set it somewhere else. What does the temp read? I like to set my eggs at a lower temp for the first night. Or day, when ever you set them..at around 99 is where I like it. Then for dry air, here in Utah, I set it for 100. Hope that helps..if it's staying around 99 for now, set your eggs if they have rested up to 12 hrs. at least. :)

I set our 29 mixed breed eggs today at 12:24 PM PST. I will update with photos as things progress. I was a little concerned this afternoon after setting the eggs in the turner that the incubator shut off at only 88 degrees F. However, this evening after dinner, temp is fluctuating between 99.3 and 99.5 degrees in a forced air, humidity is at 55% +/-, but staying on.
