Thank you... I'm so glad I was able to help him... Here's Stormy last night in the brooder, with a small stuffed cat's leg for size comparison:
400

And here's Raine right now.. Should I go ahead and take off that big piece of shell stuck to him?
400

Also, one of his toes on one of his feet is a little crooked... Can someone direct me to the thread on how to fix that using band-aids? Thank you...

Hok-yes I did clean their butts..only one had a little amount of poo covering its vent. i've been giving the two weaker ones wet mash every hour since yesterday. I just gave them all a little bit of pedlight to them all. The others are running and eating just fine. I don't know what's wrong with these two...but the small yellow one was chirping and holding one eye open when I was feeding her just a bit ago.

I seperated the two weaker ones in a small tote under the light..just in case they have something and also to keep the others from playing ping pong with them. I will put sugar in with the wet mash when I go to feed them again. I'm so hoping that I can get these two back into the fold quicklly....I just don't get it. Well I am glad we did come back sooner than planned...my sister wouldn't have known what to do for them.

My brooder is a huge plastic tote, the bedding is newspaper, then horse pellets, then pine shreds on top of that. I have a heater going in the bathroom and air temp is around 70-80f. I am heating on one side, the food and water is on the other side. I've checked the heat under the light and hangs around 90-95f, the other side of brooder is 80ish. They all run around, eat and drink very well. They aren't huddled but not spread around either so I don't think they are cold. I keep the curtain closed and then the bedroom door closed so the heat stays in but there is no drafts.....anything else I can do? Am I doing things right?

Thanks Hok, chick for helping me....I'm so bummed!!

I would get some Corid and treat for coccidiosis if your feed isn't medicated. Droopy, sleepy chicks is one of the classic symptoms and it kills very quickly. That and besides inborn errors is all I can think of right now.

When I got my sultans from the feed store one of them got reaaally sleepy and I thought it wasn't going to make it. I put the sugar and vites/'lytes in the water and, put a tiny bit of food in it and then used a syringe to feed it a couple of drops. The next day it was perfectly fine.

HI,
I'd give him/her a little time to gain strenghth.
I do not know how to add links but found the instructions for helping feet/legs
under the ilness, disease thread.......then reading the first sticky.
or use search................

the chick is not doing good at all...now it looks like there's liquid coming out of it's mouth. kinda looks like it's choking-trying to cough up something. she moves around when i pick her up and chirps at me a little bit. the other chick that was acting funny is doing just fine. the other chick is just lying there wings out just very weak...

so i guess this one doesn't have long to live either...should i be feeding them medicated feed? i've got them on chick starter....i've been giving them electrolights and sugar in the wet mash food to all of them...everyone else is acting fine...sad day!

It might be that something is wrong with them internally. I don't know what the liquid coming up...is it possible they ate bedding and can't eat or swallow? If you are giving non-medicated I wouldn't rule out coccidiosis either, but you need medication for that at this point. Medicated starter is a preventative, not a cure.

Should I go ahead and take that big piece of shell of Raine? It's completely covering his rump. He can still walk around, it's pretty funny actually, seeing a big part of the shell still attached to him while he's walking waking around.

P.S... With my amateur feather sexing skills, it looks like Stormy's a girl...
