Well I didn't have any luck hatching babies so I went and picked some up here are some pictures of my new babies 3 Cochins and 2 Araucanas

Day 20 for me and 3 out of 5 have pipped!! AHHHHHH I can't handle my excitement

I lock down the 9 eggs 6am this morning. At 2pm 2 pipped. Made very small holes then stopped. Come on!!!!

Hello, I am new to hatching, this is my 4th batch and I had a very successful hatch this time. out of 15 eggs 10 have already hatched today and I have 2 more zipping now and 3 that are not pipped yet. I am so excited to be hatching!

Set day: 3/4
Due day:3/24
Temo: 99.5
Do not know the hummidity my little giant incubator does not tell
15 eggs set/ bannie mixes

They usually do stop after they pip a hole They have to get use to breathing air for the first time
In a few hours he should start again but might be as much as 12 If he goes over 15 or so then he may need help out ...not before this is normal.
Some ppl wait 24 hours to help GOOD LUCK!.

That is the result of a chick taking a long time to zip after pipping. I had several like that and just washed it off. It takes awhile and you have to rub against the fluff to make it fluffy. Have a blow dryer going and intermittently blowdry it

I wouldnt worry about that its minor .It will rub off by later today or tomorrow I had one WAY worse the other day i cleaned off the shell stuck to him and cleaned one wing which was glued to his body but still his whole body was flat not fluffy at all Now today he looks almost normal like the redt a little left on his head Gone from just rubbing against others and as Brookhaven said preenng.

you should have a hygrometer in there for checking humidity but heck you are hatching so well so who needs it? WHHOOHOO Congrats...!!

Lockdown more Los ...and hate to be a bummer but NEGATIVE today....lost my favorite Roo my Light Brahma Georgie today

Raised him from a hatchling. Did just ;like the buff girl did some days ago .Weather was bad snow and mushy almost rain stuff cold He was in the run and pen ..I found him at the end of the run dead. He was jumping on the girls last night and maybe this morning too perfectly healthy
Maybe this winter is just getting too long for the chcikens the stress of the cold
I put every egg that i had collected from his girls in the bator 18 and 3 more from today

.POSITIVE thing ..i had hatched out Palomino Bantam Brahma chicks in Oct
A month later too cold to go out so still in the bathroom and all winter Went in today and heres an egg!!
They have been crowing and the last day or so blucking. but i was still sort of suprised. an egg laid in my bathroom..
