Hey y'all ive just gotten home from taking my daughter to a bday party, just candled only 2 had a blood ring in them. All the rest of them (41) are right on track, all little wigglers. I'm excited to see how many of my ee's will hatch. I just couldn't see in those buggers at all so who knows what will happen. I set 43 eggs and as of right now I could have 41 hatch, how cool is that!!!!!!

I just hate hearing sad news -so sorry everyone. But I am truly excited for everyone that is having a good hatch experience!! Celebrating with all of u

Maybe she drowned? Next time put marbles in the waterer for the first week to prevent any accidental drowning.

I'm sorry, hoping this hatch goes a LOT better! The ones that died were possibly infected with the bacteria as well, so don't be too hard on yourself.

Doubtful. The waterer was empty and she was dry, I only put a little water in it at a time and it is shallow.

Turkey hatching update, the count is now 4 eggs with little eruptions showing. This is super since it means the tom is doing his job. Now, I wonder if he's done the surfboard sachet with the narragansett and the holland white. It'll be some good eats come late fall.

Sorry I am so far behind!! I have been in wicked pain all weekend with a freaking tooth abscess above a recent root canalled tooth. Ugh!!! Guess it's back to the dentist.....AGAIN....this week!!!!

If you can find a bottle of clove oil, the stuff is amazing.
You can usually find it in a small white box, with a red cross on it.
Comes with a tweezers, some tiny cotton wads, and a bottle of clove oil.
It kills pain as good as most hard drugs, and makes you smell like old fashioned Christmas candy!

u chuold also use just a drop on ur finger of bandy or vanilla exctract works well also for tooth aches

I just had to add water to the BMA, and grabbed a random egg to candle. It's developing! So happy. Won't find out about the others until Thursday, but one for sure is good for me, especially since they were shipped across the country!

I have a question about blood rings though. What are they, and does anyone have any pictures of one? Thanks.

Where would you get them..not sure if you have a place around there called Cal Ranch..? I am wondering if they would have them here at that place, it has a lot of horse supplies. How much is a bag?

I bought mine at TSC. They were on sale last month for $5/bag. I think normally they are $5.99. Any horse pellet bedding would work. There is still chick dust but not as bad as with the shavings.
