What's the best day to candle brown eggs?

With a good fashlight you can candle on day 3, but Day 7 you should definitely see something.

I can come on here for my eggs that I set a couple of days ago from a friend. A couple of Silkie eggs, RIR eggs, hopefully dad being a NN. That should be interesting if they hatch NN..nice large eggs from a NN. Also some blues, but they didn't show any bullseye when I checked them 24 hrs. after setting..could see in the others, including a couple of exchequers, also dad possibly being a NN..or...a buff silkie. This is going to be fun to see if they hatch..lol...due the 19th.

For Easter Hatch A Long, will be doing Welsummers and Barred Rocks.

HI to everyone- nice to see so many new ppl! For the ones who don't know me- I'm on day 20 w/ 3 frizzle eggs. Next week is lockdown for my lone call duck egg. Tomorrow I'm setting 17 sultan &polish eggs, have SLW and lemon cuckoo orp eggs on the way too.

Hi happy hatchers

I am so excited. I set 21 eggs from my home hatched Brahmas this past weekend. Can I join the March hatch a long? Sounds like a really fun group an lots of hatching goin on. So I will be candling this Sat and hatching the 14th. Do we need to post pictures of our eggs?
