Opened up the expensive BCM eggs and yep, not even fertile. They were so perfect I could have eaten them...erm... not that I would have. I wrote the guy, the owner of the hatchery (it's a small local place) to let him know. Kind of sad that all of my mutt eggs are all alive and they came free but isn't that the way it works?

Just went to feed everyone and can not believe how cold it is. I live in Florida for a reason....29 degrees is not one of them. Brrrrrrrrr.

ummmmmm so I just looked at the calendar while on hold with the dentist and it appears I am on lockdown TODAY and not TOMORROW!!! oops!!! Well, lockdown will have to wait a few more hours bc I have to go see the dentist at 10:00 and I dont have time to tweak humidity and temps before leaving. SEE??? i *told* you I wouldnt sit and stare at my eggs non-stop this time!! I didnt even remember what day I was on!! (LOL!! seriously though, the teeth issues has me thrown off bad)

As soon as a few more hatch I will take some pics. Glass is all steamed up right now...lol. I hope you start feeling better soon. I used to have problems with my teeth until I switched to homemade toothpaste. Now I haven't had a cavity or any major dental work done in years.

I have 2 hens sitting on 20 eggs Im a little new to raising chickens, One has hatched and I still have 3 hens and the roo in the pen with them should I remove the 3 other hens and roo its a 8x8 pen? HELP Thanks!

Toothpaste Recipe:

6 tbsp coconut oil
6 tbsp baking soda
25 drops essential oil (whatever you prefer— I’ve used peppermint and grapefruit)
optional: 1/2 tsp stevia ( more or less depending how sweet you like it)
