Oops. I didn't finish story.

So he is ok now blood work was elevated in some areas so have to do more blood work on him tomorrow at his dr apt. Hopefully then we will come home to some new babies! I am praying we do. And I am praying we find out what is wrong with my son.

I am on lock down too. No pips for me. Was hoping to come home to chicks but didnt. Nothing. Was st dr all day with 8 yr old son. He is sick and we think he had seizure at drs office when we were about to leave so they wheeled him back in room and started an iv

What do you guys keep the humidity at for regular incubation (not lockdown)? Mine is about 45% now.

I don't really do anything for incubation unless it goes below 20%. Then I'll add some moisture and it will go up to about 35%. Most of the time I don't have to do anything until lockdown.

My first hatch this year was with shipping eggs 24 total, 10 duds at day 10 and only 5 hatched.
This time I did my flocks eggs for the time had 100% fertility throw out 4 duds at day 10 and 3 on day 18. I set a total of 41, 34 went into lockdown.

To me 5 with shipped isnt that bad..Those were my best hatches with shipped but one! 24 is more eggs than i receive though

I like peachy but the gapeach reminds me of the wonderful GA southern accent ppl use to have there

Tonight I was adding water to the 'bator, and couldn't resist grabbing a random egg to candle. That "random egg" turned out to be 3 random eggs. Well, all 3 were developing! One had a real wonky air cell though. So far 4/4 eggs I've candled are developing. I think that's good for shipped eggs. Now for Thursday on the other 13.... Crossing my fingers.

3 SFH babies in the incubator this morning! One more SFH egg, and then a bunch of Maran eggs still waiting......
