Hi All,

I hope you don't mind me joining you late, my babies are due to hatch on Monday March 11th. I am getting quite nervous as some of the eggs look great when candling and others look about 3/4 developed. They are still moving, so I know they are alive I just don't know what to expect.

Annemarie, did a bad egg blow up? Does anyone know the recommendation if you have eggs that can't be candled, like Marans?

Use 2 flashlights when candling. One at the top and one on the bottom. If you candle on day 14 the clear eggs will actually glow inside. The good eggs will be dark.

I have 32 eggs in the bator. 23 of them are Blue red laced wyandottes, 7 of them are random from my egg layers, and 2 Mille Fluer Duccles.

My hatch date is on the 21st - 23rd. I will post pics when they start hatching.
