March hatch along

I'm going crazy waiting for these eggs to do something. I went out and figured something would have changed by the time I got back and nothing has. I snuck the flashlight in through a tiny crack and looks like one has pipped internally. I hope they didn't get shrinkwrapped.

How often do you turn the eggs? Do you have them on their sides or large end up? Either/or, depending on how they've been jostled now.. Started out up lol

malpositioning is normally due to turning frequency, I believe.

Do you mean too little, too much? These started out in a friend's turner. Took them out on day 17

I know its really hard to see which end is up with round eggs. I have started candling them before setting them to see where the air cell is and mark the big end so i dont get mixed up later on...
Me too!

Here was #1 waiting for wrong-end to hatch.. they hatched a few minutes apart:
400

This one is a splash. Couldn't tell if the other is black or blue, but it's one of the two.

did you continue to turn them after you got them? 96 times per day is what's found to be the best mumber, but without an egg turner, who's gonna sit and turn the eggs every 15 minutes!
how strange that they were on an egg turner. Did they start turning them as soon as they were put into the incubator?

were your previous hatches with malpositioned chicks done this same way (in your friend's turner then moved to your incubator?)

HELP! Ok I have two chicks that that I had to pip the shell for them yesterday, because they were shrink wrapped. They had been doing fine in the eggs, and I kept the humidity up so the membranes didn't dry out. Today I saw green in the egg, so I started to help them more. I think they both pooped in their shells, (never had that happen) so when they came out of the shell, I had to use a dropper to rinse them with warm water. Now here's where I need the help.... the one looks like it has a hernia, tumor or growth on its ambilical area....or is this the yolk, I've never seen it like this before?

It is quite active..... HELP PLEASE!
