Yes I'm making use of my holes, using a bendy straw to wet the paper towels so they don't dry out over the membranes lol.@carcar I had a wrong end pipped and others who pipped so didn't want to open the bator, so I got skewers and stuck one through each of two little vent holes and chipped the egg with one while holding with other. I waited and I think he couldn't turn so I put skewers on each side and pried the shell open and he was able to do the rest. Freaked me out though I was scared I was gonna skewer the little guy, but it worked. Sorry about the umbilical baby grchick I had one last month I pulled the shell off on accident and it wasn't ready and that poor guy didn't make it either. Christine9 I hope you get some more did you candle again? Everybody else happy hatching. I wish I could show a pic of my babies but I can't get my pics to download for some reason, I have some really neat colors in my ee and a white bcm, I guess is a wheaten.![]()

Long night here. Long story short, I've got three in the brooder and four assisted in the bator wrapped in wet paper towel. They are doing well though. (Day 23 now)
