I just hatched several rhodebars last weekend. I love that you can sex them after they dry off, but having said that... I got lots of roos! they are feisty little chicks, and very hearty so far.
For me Rhodebar roos are still somewhat valuable since you can use them over RIRs to make more RB females. I'm up to 7-8pips now out of14 . Two of the really round eggs are pipping are now hatching from the other end.

Ok, so I have two batches cooking. One on day 12 and one on day 10. I candled the day 10 eggs and saw movement in them!!! This is too exciting. They all had detached air cells, but one looks like the air cell is huge and oddly shaped because of it. What's the chance this chick will hatch and then also survive?

@subhannahlanna your entropy shows the yolk broken was it broke in egg or did you break it? If you broke it I don't know chick looks good, sorry. @christine9 the weird air cell they call saddle shaped has something to do with shipping and they can hatch fine most of the time, try and put larger airsac side up for better shot at lockdown to improve chances. Otherwise I am going crazy waiting for my own to hatch, especially listening to you guys:barnie. I still have like 8-9 days and I'm already super anxious.
