Mareks? Help? *Video added*

Ok. I will make sure I do that. I was told by a local farmer that The farm is empty because the chickens were too expensive to keep so sold them, Im not sure if I trust that so I am getting my mum to go down and ask, hopefully tonight!

I have exactly the same problem with one of my girls. Twelve days ago she lost all strength and movement in her left leg, it is now the same with the right. She has been to the vet twic and had antibiotics. Sh'e eating and drinking well and no longer seems in pain. SShe stood for a minute or so this morning but is back down again. I really don't know what to do for the best here.

the one of the worst bit about it is not knowing what's wrong! so has yours been like this for 12 days? about the same as mine then, Can she stand up abit? what did the vet say?
thanks Daisy

How old is your girl? Have you tried vitamin therapy?

Update
I got some baby food for her and gave some to her as soon as I got back from school. It was cheesy vegetable pasta, just a mashy mush of food, but she loved it! She ate that up nicely but I didn't give her too much as I didn't want to over do it so I then gave her some baby food rice pudding. She didn't eat all that but she might have been full not sure. She looked a lot happier and lively so I picked her up out of her nest box and she did that thing where they paddle their legs round. So she can definately move both her legs. I popped her down and she did this sitting up thing (I'll get pictures) and then kept trying to stand up. She almost managed to get her whole body off the floor but she couldn't fully stand up. Then later when I went to put her to bed she did the sitting up thing again then waddled herself forward. I was thrilled it seems like she could over come this:D but I'm still expected the worse, don't want to get my hopes up. When I put her into bed, one of my other chickens was still outside pecking at the floor and she could hear them. She put one foot at a time up onto the side of the nest box and waddled out her nest box.It still wasn't fully walking but she is looking a lot better and alert than the other day!
Thank you, Daisy
P.S I couldn't find any pictures but i will get some taken before I go to school.

Good morning. The vet thought it was MD or egg peritonitis but admitted he really didn't know. I now have another of the girls down:-( Pie has always had crop problems and has to be watched carefully (they are two and a half) I have been massaging and giving olive oil the past 2 days and yesterday rivers of food and liquid came out of her beak. She seemed better after and ate some live yoghurt and egg last night. I kept her indoors with the other sick girl and this morning she is lying flat with both legs stretched out behind her. She is eating and drinking but looking very bad.

luckily, fingers crossed, it's only one of my chickens that are down. how Would I check the crop? she's been eating fine!
hope your chickens pull through

I'm sorry but with another girl down with those symptoms I could almost bet that it's Marek's. The crazy thing about Marek's is it loves to mimic other diseases...such as sour or impacted crop. I've had several start out that way and then, they would move on into the more common Marek's symptoms. My advice to you would be to have one of the girls euthanized and necropsied. You really need to know what you are dealing with and a necropsy is the only way to know for sure.

I'm so sorry...

In order to check the crop...

Sour crop...open beak and sniff...the smell will tell you and the crop will feel like a squishy balloon.

Impacted crop...remove all food at night...wait till morning and see if the crop is empty. If it is empty, she is fine :)
