I DID buy the medicated feed for my soon-to-be-hatched babies. But that is for cocciliosis I believe. Mereks is a shot, am I right???

Here is some imformation on Mareks.

I myself do not use the marek's vaccination but have been thinking about it. The vaccination is a two ( 2 ) part injectable vaccination that needs to be refrigerated and it is $19.00 for a 1000 vaccination here --

Medicated chick feed is for Coccidiosis.

That is not true...
The vaccine for marek's only work for marek's.. The medication in medicated chick feed is only for Coccidiosis. Now there is a vaccine for Coccidiosis that you give the chicks a day old. I believe that they are getting the to confused with each other...

After losing a really good bird I bought to Mareks, I am vaccinating all hatchlings this year. You can divvy up the vaccine to get 3-4 doses out of one bottle. I use really fine insulin syringes. All babies get the same dose, regardless of LF or bantam, .2 cc. (Note two-tenths of a cc). It is a live vaccine, so you have to burn the refuse when you are done.

I have read that if you get your chicks vaccinated or buy them all ready with a Mareks shot that you must keep all future birds vaccinated also. That you can't vaccinate some and not all.
Is this true does anyone know???? Must we also vaccinate the grown birds?
Thanks

If you have quite a few chickens yes. A couple chickens no. Marex prevention is a shot. most hatcheries do it to chicks but bigger chickens, well you may need to talk to a vet.
