Same here!Mine wish they were in the back of a Patrol Car with the temperatures we are getting in Ohio, lol.
My BC girl is molting too. She's who had me worried the most.Crashie's been loaf-shaped today because she's keeping her little webs tucked in her feathers. But I'm not worried about her so much, it's the two Cochin bantam hens who decided that December was the ideal time to molt that have me a little worried.![]()
Glad to hear everyone made it! Everyone here seemed to thrive through it. The ducks didn't walk around much (step, step, lay back down on feet), and Rona stayed inside. I also worried more than I should have. How are your molters looking? How's your Cochin girl looking, Mare? My two molters made it through the arctic blast just fine, no problems at all. I think I was more worked up about it than they ever were. We're still below freezing here today, but a whole heck of a lot warmer than we were a few days ago, so Crash is of course wondering when I'll be getting her swimming pool out.

Poor little hedgehog bootyAh, she does look a bit underinflated there. One of my molters, Harley, looks very similar, hedgehog head but finally starting to poof back out otherwise. The other, Sylvie, just started to molt as the arctic blast was heading our way and she's currently walking around with a bare bottom. She aims for the worst possible timing with her molts, I swear!
Thankfully, she remained mostly covered while we were sub-zero, though, and hasn't seemed to struggle with the cold at all.
