Same here until this week. I rationed the last of the purchased eggs and when I went out to do my chores on Monday evening?? Quackers was inside the pink house (kinda comical but her preferred laying box). She got up and I didn’t find first egg until the next day. The calls are split……I found first 2 eggs in the patio bench house and the 3rd in the big coop. I will probably wait until closer to Easter before I attempt to incubate any as currently they are worth more for eatingI've been buying eggs

My one Mallard is still laying an egg a day for me. I still have my 80 water glassed egg and three dozen in the refrigerator so I hopefully will get to my water glassed ones before spring when they should all start back up laying again. I just hope it worked and I don't have a bunch of spoiled eggs but I had to at least try it.Desperate times call for desperate means. I'm not sure I'm quite that desperate yet, though, store bought eggs are just so sad and pale to me
I need to remember to try out water glassing this year. Usually we have so many eggs by mid to late summer that I'm feeding them back to the chickens just to get rid of them.
No you didn't. It doesn't cost much to do it only some time and some clean duck eggs which in my case are like finding gold, lol. I will have a really stinking situation if it didn't work. Can you imagine 80 rotten eggs? I'm not even sure where I would put them. My garbage man probably wouldn't even empty my trash cart for the fumes, lol.

Soooo Cool. I am still getting my one Mallard egg a day. I expect her to stop any time now. Our weather has been so much like Spring though that I think she is just confused.
