Tell ya'll what. If youins don't have a proper pitchfork...get yourself one ASAP.
Idk why, but i never had one. I guess on account of not really being a "farm gal" I've just been using regular garden rakes and hoes and such.
I have one of those plastic hay thingies and that works fine for moving dry stuff.
But removing wet poop patties is so much easier with a real pitchfork!
😆
Metal pitchforks are the ish!

Well dang, we've had an old pitchfork propped against the side of the house for years that I've never even thought about using in my coops! :th

50 today, 38 and snow tomorrow. 😩

Yuck! I think we're sitting at 33-ish right now, just above freezing but not warm enough for the snow to melt all the way. Supposed to get more overnight anyway, though, so I guess it's really here to stay. I was enjoying the super mild winter we'd been having for most of January. 😩

I have one of these and the tines are too flexible to work well on anything that's matted down, but it is nice for throwing lots of bedding out of the coop in bulk.

We have several. I don't rightly know what I would do without.

So cute. I got my 4 drakes in on trades so I lucked out. Where are they located? Just curious of course.
Eastern Ontario. ;) Can't remember exactly where, I'm trying to ignore the ad.

I've done some trading for ducks too, it's a great way to get new blood in!
