Betty and Mavis are gorgeous!
Everyone has beautiful chickens!

Here is my Buff Orpington hen named Lucy,
she turned 6 yrs old on Mothers day!

I am sorry, this is an older picture, does it still count?

-The Angry Hen
Yes, that photo still counts! Lucy is a beauty!

First is Balthazar, he's my American Game roo. Not sure on age. He is an ex cockfighting rooster that was rescued from a raid along with 60 others- he was in the worst shape. It's hard to see from the picture but he has little nubs for toes and no nails, and no spurs. He is a goofy dude but we all like him and are more than happy to give him a second chance with us.

Second is Runt, a one year old Easter egger. Runt of 12 chicks I got and she makes sounds like a cat :)

Beautiful Babies! you could make an article about your roo! He sounds very interesting and I would love to know more about him and his story!

Also, I am very happy to hear that 60 roos got saved! I always have thought that roosters should have more respect (as much as hens have) because not all of them are mean. people have just given them a bad reputation. (cockfighting, the fact that they don't lay eggs, the noise they make when crowing, etc.)
SAVE THE ROOSTERS!
Marie

I agree!! He's the only roo I've ever owned so I don't have a great deal of insight- but even as an ex fighter he is gentle and sweet. The only animal he's ever had any bones to pick with is my chihuahua! And for some reason NO ONE on the farm likes him hahaha.

I could write an article on him- even since he's been here he's had a very interesting life. I think we had him for 6 months before he ever even crowed. Poor little guy!
