Back on topic, I've had caged birds many years in the past. They consumed copious amounts of cannabis seeds and trimmings, both fresh and dried. No effect, other than improved condition of plumage from the high concentration of oils. You can use other oil-rich foods to obtain the same results. Not judging, just reporting.

Nothing would happen if it is never heated. What some people are not aware of is THC doesn't get you high if you don't cook it but many of its beneficial medicinal properties remain or are even stronger when ingested raw.

Ya before you know it all their friends are going to be over pinching off your plants, eating everything in the hen house, laying around on the roost till noon.
Then they'll start running around with those little pullets with the tramp stamps from the coops on the other side of the tracks. Gonna end up with them living in your basement looking for handouts the rest of their lives.
Just say no.
Haha so funny. I wish there was a laugh button.

Bottom line is, it's nontoxic. Lots of animals will eat it. Rabbits, groundhogs and deer. Deer will eat the entire plant. They no doubt destroy a lot of it growing outside. It's not going to harm your chickens.
