Just jumping into this one, sending some of this 54○weather from Florida. Attached is a look out my front porch at some green grass, and palm trees, just for your viewing pleasure.

My mother is currently hiding from the nasty Ohio weather in Florida. She was complaining how cold it was at 54°F a few days ago until I told her we has -11°F here. Then she decided she was quite happy with her weather. It was nice out today. I was out putting tarps on the roof of the shed to make the new chicken coop & only had a hoodie on.

I love the lights idea, I always have issues with the way I do them in the big plastic tubs, but I do like the ability to sterilize....  someday I will make something like Jays but line it with rolled vinyl so I can ammonia it or bleach it.  After dealing with cocci one time I learned a valuable lesson....  it s cks!

why not just paint it? Ive been looking at Lowe's every time I go up there for some cheap outdoor oil base paint to seal the wood. Im working on it right now as matter of fact. Last of the wiring and maybe getting the top on both levels. Really irked tho and I dispise moving even more now... all my freakin bands are gone. A crap ton of em. 5 sizes of 10 colors. They sure aint in the box I put em in....

Was going to send out 30 eggs on Wednesday. Are you going to have room for them or do you want me to just wait and send later? They will be a layer barnyard mix. Consisting of EE Roo, RIR Roo, Buff Brahma Roo. The hens are Golden stars(whatever you want to call them people call them different names), Production Reds, White leghorns, and Brown leghorn. Will get some pics up of what they hatch out to be later.

Awesome. I can fit em in :) as of now I still have only 3 racks in and only one flat stacked :) I can already see the next project. Building a dedicated hatcher. Kinda excited about that if my home depot card has anything left on it lol

I hope that hoodie was long enough to cover your backside!  What if the neighbors saw you hanging tarps with only your hoodie on?  ;)

Hey now. That would be a neighborly veiw :p

I don't think they would appreciate a view of my fat hiney. I had sweat pants on with my hoodie...lol
Here is what we are converting to coops. Please ignore the mess laying around. That is only a fraction of the literal garbage we had to remove to make this usable. The last lady who lived here used it as her personal trash bin.

Chickens & turkeys up top.

Ducks & geese downstairs..
We still have to put runs on & make an actual door for the lower level. The entire roof needs replaced. Half of it is completely missing. The plan for spring is new rafters & translucent corrugated fiberglass. I want to divide the inside into individual pens too, but the roof has to come first. Once I get this done all I will need is a small shed for the goats & we are all set...at least until I add more birds...which we all know I will...lol
