have you brought up the cancellation notice issues or policy???
Uh, no
:::::Hiding under rock::::::
I think some kind of cancellation notice would be nice, but I cant see how to make one work... since we all leave at different times, and have different distances, it would be tough, unless we did something like an old fashioned calling tree. Like our mothers used to do way way back when. Who ever decides the cancellation, calls two people, and they call two people each, and so on and so on. But unless the call went out at like 4:30 am, you would probably miss me, or catch me on the way! most of the swaps are over an hour one way for me, and I like to round up my birds while its still dark out!
I personally didnt mind the last Tilton TSC one, that rained the whole time, but we are really lucky, we have that old blue 10x10 pop up thing. Some people where being real champs and just standing out in the rain! I probably would have packed up with out that cover. But we did sell pretty well that day, enough to buy a weeks food on the way home, so we were content.
Since we pack the van the night before, and load the birds early am in the dark, and we look forward to the saturday swaps all week, I think I would rather just decide myself on a day to day basis. But I know that will make it tough on the people who are game, and show up, to be the only ones there!
So I will go with what ever the group decides, I just cant go to many sunday swaps anymore. I can only do one a week now, and saturday is the best day for me. Besides, I am almost sold out of birds!
