Marking chickens? Leg bands or wing clips?

Can someone share info on leg bands, please? How they are applied, how they are removed, sizing, ordering, ect....

My neighbor uses wing clips but I don't really think I want to use them. I'm not sure I could put them on.

I'm hoping to raise a few select breeds but would like to be able to identify which stock is which.

I use plastic band from R. Burkey. They just slip around the leg and are numbered and color coded. They definitely help keep track of pedigree. I also use toe punch marking on some to keep track of lineage.
