What is the best thing to use in marking eggs when you put them in the bator? I have noticed that some people use felt tip pen (sharpie) an others use regular a pencil

Regular old pencil.

I use pencil because I read that the toxin in markers could pass through the shell. I found that out after I had marked some eggs with a sharpie so I did not set them. I did not see any marker on the inside of those eggs when we ate them and I know I have since read posts of people that use sharpies and have no problems, but I would rather be safe than sorry.
