I knew he was the one pretty much from the start, he was the first guy I dated that I was serious about and wanted to spend ALL my time with. We were highschool sweethearts you could say, but I went to a highschool directly up the mountain from him. We met at our local county fair, his best friend was my friends boyfriend. My friends bf came to watch her show her dog for 4H, and her boyfriend brough his best friend (my now hubby). My friend also asked me to come watch her show her dog and right before the show she introduced me to her bf who I already knew, and to my now hubby who I didnt know...or so I thought. She introduced us, I shook his hand, and he held on to my hand ad said "niki? niki castaldo?" and Im sure I looked stunned I asked him how, and here, when I was a kid, I went to his same elementary school and we were best friends before I moved to the school i graduated at. He remembered me!

Anywhooo, started dating when we were 16, we're now almost 25. Hes my best friend, my deffinate other half he'd do anything for me and just about does.

Don't normally chime in these issues but felt compelled to so this time. Perhaps it's the topic that pulled me in. Met my wife at an outside bar near some volleyball courts in our hometown. One of the local establishments set up a bar/nightclub during the summer months and had a DJ, a dancefloor, canopy and sand-filled volleyball courts. It was pretty neat. Anyway back to the story. Neither of us wanted to be there that night. She went with some friends from work because it was someone's birthday. I went to meet a buddy and his girlfriend. I got there and was ordering a beer while I saw my buddy go over to a group of girls - nothing new there, he was always talking to the girls. Long story short, I turned around and there she was asking me to dance because it was "my birthday" she was informed (by my friend). It wasn't my birthday but I couldn't say "no" to those beautiful baby blues she was sporting. During the course of the evening we discovered we lived in the same apartment complex - a stone's throw from my front door! - and we had never seen each other before that night. Needless to say after 10 yrs together she still makes my heart smile:D that's how I knew she was for me - my heart smiled the first time we met. After a 2 yr relationship I sent her on a scavenger hunt (that's a story for another time) and at the end asked her to marry me.

Smiling heart - it's a telltale sign
