Martha Stewart Television Show Wants You!

Check on her website. When I checked the other day in my area it airs on 4/2 at 9am.

Ahhh! So many different times! I'm confused... I have direct t.v. also... so... i'm assuming i'll be the same date as you Suebee?? I'm on the east coast though...

In my NYC area it airs at 11:00 AM Friday morning 4/2/10.:<)

I have never been to a studio taping before, did not know what to expect period.... and I have to say my husband and I enjoyed the experience!

I brought along 1 8 month old hen. Those who did manage to bring a chicken in, were seated in the first 2 rows of the audience. I thought her studio might be huge but it really isn't. Just beautiful and airy & bright. The set was really cool. different sections....gardening/farm.........cooking......arts/crafts.....kitchen.

She had a couple of her birds with her and some gorgeous birds from some of her guests. I think the BWC Polish were simply beautiful.

My overall experience was very positive,...

....amazing and so much fun to talk to other chicken folks. I even met some local peop-le who I never knew raising birds near me!

I took some pics and tomorrow when I have energy I will load them up to my webpage and post the link here.

Folks were friendly, excited and that Joey (her sidekick) was funny and entertaining. I'd do it again if given the chance in a NY minute!

I do not see how it would at all be possible to cover all we do with raising our chickens in just 1 hour episode. A series of shows would be great!

I enjoyed the part with "My Pet Chicken" owner.... she did a fabulous job!
Peeps (WCBP) were brought out in a box for us to ogle over.

A few cackles from birds here and there had good timing too.

I try to always look at the positive in my experiences like this. Seeing these wonderful, beautiful birds onstage and in the audience was a big treat for us. That my EE "Paprika" was so co-operative and sat on my lap the entire 2 hours or so for filming was amazing i9n itself. And NO poop!!

We were even supplied with huge brown towels to keep it clean.

Martha stayed on for a bit afterwards....to be sociable and voiced her appreciation for everyone putting up with the weather etc.

I wish we had more time to get into people's stories but hey..........it's only a 1 hour show.

More tomorrow!

My DD and 2 friends were at the show also. Sat us in the very front row. At first we thought that was going to be great but then it turned out that all the action was at the other side of the room.

We had a great time anyway, DD thought it was a blast (she's 10) bunch of neat books and a cool little hen purse from MPC. Martha was very nice to everyone and was in a great mood, she has over 200 chickens! Cool. The rain all day really put a damper on the day but, it was fun anyway. About a 2 1/2 hour drive for us.

I was there with a couple friends as well. Fun to meet so many chicken lovers, and my sons were quite happy with the chicken books I brought home.

I was very impressed with all the folks who brought chickens! I asked a couple of my hens to go. Once I told them I was going to put them in a diaper, they turned up their beaks at me in disgust. They considered that far beneath them.

Anyway, it was good fun. Looooved the coop Martha had on the show. So pretty. Was hoping that would be one of the freebies, lol.
