Maryland Poultry Swap and Farmers Market JUNE 16th 2012 SHARPSBURG, MD 8-2pm **SHOW CLINIC**

Hey Bobbi Jo, I didn't even realize it was you I was talking to the other day until after I got off of the phone... duh. I was calling last year's vendors to confirm they were coming. Everyone is and already knows about the new date. I was testing some birds for the event up near Leightersburg last night and they were telling me about all the farmers they knew that were coming and what they were bringing. I've even been stopping in at farms where I see chickens and am amazed to hear that they already know and are coming. Most are so excited to find the awesome selection we had last year.

Tonya, I will update the list and will try and update it when I hear but, Im usually not by the computer when I do and stuff slips out of my mind just as fast as it slips out :)

We are still doing the Show Clinic. I have an entry form.. just email me for it. I will also try and post it on the blog http://mdpoultryswap.blogspot.com/ which saw 132 views last night and 1,718!!! last month. Last year we saw these number just a week or so out so, I am anxious about the turnout this year. It's been around 60 views to 100 and some for the last two weeks. Hopefully, it will be even better this year.

And, Bobbi Jo, I know someone who desperately wants that frizzle MF roo. PM me for details.

Testing Clinic is still on. Sunday, June 9th from 12-2. Bring 10% of your breeders UP TO TEN BIRDS. ..no more than ten. Select birds from different pens where you can.

Oh, it's okay! I know you are busy and I am sure you have a lot going on! I'll get outside and get a pic of him and PM it to you tomorrow. He's only about 8wks right now.

Psst... Have any MF girls you are parting with? I am looking for another trio or quad. Milroy, the dark roo I got form you in October filled out nicely, but all my chicks from him are dark (they come out black) with my calico girls. Milton, the original boy I got with the girls is just not nearly as typey as them and is small - plus no chest flowers. I kept him around as a back up, but I don't plan on using him. The buff Columbians... Byron is gorgeous but he is my only nasty roo. I keep threatening the freezer! He only has Bridgette as a girlfriend but I have 2 BC pullets growing out for him. They are not the best quality, but I am hoping he fixes what they lack. I'd like to get another girl or two with nice type for him eventually.

Maria and Gretchen are coming and they are packing heat as usual.. Their coming with a horse trailer FULL of goodies like hand painted signs, garden plants, exhibition quality dutch, exhibition quality polish in buff laced and tolbunt. These guys are so unusual and beautiful. You won't find them anywhere else.

They always have great stuff. I am just sitting here being a bit depressed because I want to be at both places at once. Has anyone heard from Carolyn?

I haven't heard from her yet. I was looking over the self certification paperwork from last year but, must have misplaced hers. If anyone has a contact number for her, I'll give her a call.

Oh! and... Taaammy... you are feeling very sleeeeeepy.... goooo to Erin's swaaaaap .... gooooooo to Erin's swaaaaap

Tonya, Im sure you'd like to hear about the Delaware Duck Guy (I named him myself;) is coming and is packing duck heat. He has white mallards (never seen before) , muscovies, and a ton of calls in all different colors.

We're also getting red and golden pheasants and a game bird guy with chukars, bobwhites, and ringnecks. FYI, a $10 gamebird husbandry permit must be obtained from the DNR's website within 48 hours of purchasing these wild typed birds

I soooo cannot wait for this meet. Finally getting chickens again! Really need my Wheaton fixes! Will be looking for w/bl.w Ameracaunas and Marans. I didn't think I would miss my flock like I have. Oh dear withdrawal has been hell. That's it,going back to chickens. Not happy without my cluck fix. Time to build a coop and get going. Missed everyone on the boards too and hi NoVA and MD, I am new up here.
