Maryland Poultry Swap & Farmer's Market **UPDATED w/ PICS pg.43**

We have a few folks bringing pigeons. My dad has a loft of white homers. We just love them... but, may have to close them up. I think the crows are getting in and stealing eggs.

I've chatted with a couple folks from the Maryland Poultry Fancier's Association and they are working on putting together their Frederick fall Show to include pigeons. Keep us posted about the show.

OK, I've left a message for Jonathan, so as long as he can come out, we'll be there. At this point, I have RIR pullets, white rock pullets, white crested b/b/s polish straight run. I'm also down sizing, so will have 4 hens and 1 roo naked necks that are 9 months old, along with a few extra roos. I also have lots of wellsummers and guinea eggs in the bator...depends on hatch, and maybe a few others but these for sure. My last lock down, I had a temp surge to 106 for just a short period of time, and killed all but 2 that hatched. So upsetting! Also Erin, may have some to donate as well! PM what you'd like for me to give away! May be able to pull something out.

Kat, that's awesome... so glad you can make it

sorry about your incubator issue... seems it's going around. ChickenJunkie was so nice to bring me over a few dozen eggs to incubate for the swap to try and help make up for my 2!!! disasters. It is heartbreaking.. especially at lockdown.. that sounds terrible.

As for giveaways, we need items for our door prizes. Im putting up a couple TSC gift cards and Blue Seal is doing a bag of layer.

I'd also like items for gardening baskets; flower bulbs, flower plants, herb plants, pots, gardening trowels (vintage or new) gloves (new), etc.

and maybe a baking basket; baking supplies, measuring cups, whisks, recipes, etc. I have some antique bowls to make the "baskets" with

I'd like some hatching eggs of any kind, canned foods (homemade like jellies, etc.)

We cannot give away anything alive per STATE DEPT. but, anything else creative let me know; aprons, cookware, a new crockpot/ice cream maker/blender/ or juicer that you never use.

I can drive around the Thursday before to pick up items... so, start thinking of things you'd like to clear out and pm me and I will make my map for road trip day

My granddad has greenhouses in va I can see if he will donate some plants too.
I'll let you know tonight.

Hi,

I just posted a video of Chickenstock with links to your sites Erin. Videos drive lots of traffic cause they always go to the top of Google instantly. Check it out... your coop is in it and almost every booth there.

Sorry it took so long. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwX-wbRTNAc

I
can make up a couple cute grab bags of fancy Iris Rhizomes to use as gifts. Maybe a day lily or two that are blooming as well... in a cute pot. I think I have some hen & chickens plants I can pot up as gifts too.

Eggs... whatever is laying.

I definitely will be bringing silkies for sale. They range from 4 weeks to 6 weeks old. Blue, Blacks, and Project blue partridges. Will also have exhibition standard buff leghorn chicks too. Will be around 5-6 weeks old at the swap. I have a hatch planned for June 6, hopefully my rosecombs will actually hatch this time around.
