MARYLAND THREAD!

Well, I breed them, but I don't have any pullets and I don't really have a farm. But, I could hatch some in a couple of months and they may be laying by early next year - Ameraucana tend to take at least 7 months to begin to lay. Not ideal for you, I know. I'm also on the Eastern Shore. But, you could take a trip to the beach!
Hey there, I'm on the Eastern Shore too. Do you breed any ducks?

Whitmore farm won't let you visit... I already called and asked them... At that time, I ruled them out. I ordered mine online from Meyer in Ohio... haven't received my chicks yet, but their online chat answered a lot of my questions... They are very sweet and helpful and have older chickens available... I will have 5 chicks of 5 varieties, my closest to you being and Easter Egger, which is a mutt chicken. If you call animal control, after May 14th they will have rescue chickens available. Not sure of any other local sources for Ameraucanas.

Strange, I've been out to their property to pick up Delaware eggs before.

I think they may be like me. After having an incident with a Craigslist person just wondering around my property after NOT purchasing one day, I know longer allow people on to my property. The guy came to purchase chicks but then demanded I sell him laying hens instead. Of course I cannot do that and so he returned later to try to steal some.

I now meet people at a local feed store or Home Depot. It also helps with biosecurity. I don't have to have them wear little booties.

Hello! The coop is finished and I am looking for some juvenile hens/laying hens asap! I live in the north silver spring area and have been scouring Craigslist but haven't found anything. I have about 5 eggs in the incubator supposedly hatching in 10 days, but I am also wanting to get about 3 young layers as well. Any suggestions? I am willing to drive a fair amount.

I'm in Glen Burnie.. looking to add to my flock. Been raising chickens for 5 years and love it. It's nice to see others here in MD that have chicken fever too..lol

Hi!

Sorry, no ducks. I had a friend who had some and, although I was impressed with their eggs, I wasn't impressed with their mess!

My neighbor may raise them, I'll ask him. Which breeds are you interested in?
