MARYLAND THREAD!

Our extra Marans pullets (7 or 8) should be ready soon (3 weeks now) if any one is interested in Anne Arundel co area. So far, no apparent cockerels. I will post here and on Annapolis craigslist (next weekend most likely). They were from Meyer, sexed and vaccinated. We will have some black copper, Silver Cuckoo and Golden Cuckoo (hard to tell cuckoos apart at this stage), maybe a blue splash (depends if kids keep both).

I may be interested in one , how much will they be ? I am not concerned about color but would prefer the cuckoo.

Hi Y'all! Im located in abingdon MD. I currently own 15 chickens and i love to them too death! I'm looking to meet more people near me!

Hi all! New to chickens this is our first time raising them. Hasn't been going to well. We bought 8 pullets from Tractor supply. Made sure they were pullets we didn't do straight run for the fear of getting to many roosters. Well apparently that didn't matter out of the eight we have five are roosters. I need to find homes for four of them. They are fighting like crazy already at almost eight weeks. I fear everyday they are going to kill each other.

Oh and btw I'm from Caroline county!

Hi! if you have a Facebook there are a lot of groups for selling poultry such as... Maryland Farmer Exchange, Cecil County Farm and Livestock

Thanks I searched and joined some eastern shore farmer swaps. They don't seem to have to much movement there....and while I was at it I made my own group called Maryland Chicken Keepers!

Call TSC and let them know the "Pullets" were Roosters! And that you paid extra to make sure they were from that pullets section! They should take them back or replace them with pullets.

I was wondering if there's anybody on here in the Glen Burnie / Pasadena area. I'm making a coop, and I don't plan on letting them run free all day, but I was wondering if anybody had issues with hawks or other predators. Mine aren't ready for outside yet, but I was thinking that on warm days, they could go outside at least for a little while, so they can get used to it. But I'm worried about predators, even if it's for 30 minutes at a time. Any input is welcome!

I have called and the store said they would replace them. But they can't guarantee that I won't get roosters again. And then told me I have to deal with the ones I have they don't want them. That they won't take returns on them. Then at the end of the conversation said they weren't even sure if they were even getting anymore in. I have received an email from corporate spent them the info they wanted yesterday afternoon and have yet to hear back from them.
