Hello there from near Hagerstown! We have started our own little backyard farm this spring. We have 1 min pin, 1 silky duckling(only one that hatched ), 2 cats, 2 tennessee fainting goats, 3 old english "babydoll" sheep, 6 children (we've had these the longest), and too many new baby chickens!
What a blast! Hatched eggs for the first time and enjoyed sharing the kids' excitement. In the process of building a home to be shared by all outdoor creatures.... with their own areas, of course.
I am enjoying this site and learning SO much.

Someone just told my DH that there is a nice feed store in Thurmont. Could this true? I have been buying my feed, etc from TSC but would like another option... esp. since they ran out of chick starter last week.
I am between Smithsburg and Boonsboro.
