Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone around Maryland has any hatching eggs? (Ducks/geese/chickens) I have a broody infestation and my beloved rooster is STERILE. He's too funny to get rid of, but he's giving the girls false hope. Thanks!

Does anyone know if I should be worried about snakes here in Mt Airy? I'm new here and just got my first flock started.
I know there are fox and coons and soooo many hawks so I have chicken wire on the top of my coop and hardware cloth around the bottom about two feet up from the ground.
Think that will be enough?

I'm new to everything, haha. Only moved to Maryland in Oct. 2016 (from the Delco PA region originally). We just moved to Mt. Airy the beginning of this year - we were living in my crappy apartment in Columbia before. And new to chickens. hoping to learn so much more!

I know there are some snakes, but couldn't tell you types. I know when we were looking at houses before we bought ours, we found snake molts in some of the basements.
