mass of blood in egg with round looking yolk

Today I cracked open an egg from one of our chickens and the white was very bloody. Also the yolk was more rounded and red. We don't have roosters so it can't possibly be a fertilized egg. can it?? I really thought it looked like an embryo

It happens form time to time. Usually from burst vessels that happen sometime during the egg making process.
