Materials for coop floors

My coop has a dirt floor but I need to know what material to put down. I guess the choices are straw, hay or wood chips.

I used woodstove pellets like I did in my brooder, it took 8 bags to cover the floor of my 8x12 coop. Keeped the smell down to nothing in my kiddy pool brooder and also kept it super dry.

pine shavings work great no smell and easy to shovel out into the compost pile do a search on deep litter method works great
