Hello!
I have mated a 2nd generation white frizzle silkie hen with painted silkie showgirl rooster. I am just wondering what colours and feather type will the babies be?

Thanks!!☺

You'd have to give more info.
Rooster is a paint so paints are one copy dominate white over ideally black.
Just from his side half would be showgirl and half would not.
Half would get the dominate white gene and be paint half would be black.
Your hen is frizzled right? Half her chicks would get the frizzle gene and half would not.
Idk what a 2nd generation frizzle silkie hen means.
If she is silkie feathered then all their chicks would be silkie.
If she has no silkie gene none of the chicks will be silkie. If she has one copy of the silkie gene. Half will be silkie and half won't be.
As far as her color and the offspring that's up in the air. It depends whether she is dominate white or recessive white.
If she is dominate white (2 copies) then half chicks would be white and half paints.
If she is recessive white and black underneath then half will be paints and half will be black.

Pretty cool! Yup she is a frizzle silkie, not a sizzle silkie. So she has standard feathers like a normal chicken. Both the hens parents were white. I am hoping to hatch a frizzle showgirl!!! Black or paint or white no worries. .☺
