Maturing roosters, 100+ temps, and a broody hen, safe to eat eggs??

My two roosters are maturing, crowing, and I have seen them mount a few hens. It is ridiculously hot and now one of my BOs is boody again. I collect the eggs in the evenings, around 6-7 pm. Not sure exactly what time they lay, I check for eggs when I water them and give them treats around 10 and there are rarely any eggs. I only get 3 a day right now.

So my question is, are the eggs safe to eat? I cracked a few today and they had tiny brown things attached to the yolk. Was that a baby chick? Well the start of one anyways. It is freaking me out a little.

Collected daily, the eggs should be fine. What you are seeing on the eggs are probably 'meat spots'.

What is a meat spot?

It is a bit of tissue or sometimes blood that is released along with the yolk and becomes encapsulated within the shell. Commercial suppliers candle all eggs and such eggs generally go for baking or dried egg products. With some hens this is an occasional occurrence with others it is more routine.

Do an on site search on 'meat spots' or 'blood spots'. There are several good threads on the subject.

When I have a broody hen I usually leave her in the coop. The other hens love to lay in the same nest box

. I go out every night, lift her off the nest, and remove any eggs donated that day (the eggs to be brooded are marked with a sharpie). so, I'm eating eggs that have basically been brooded most of the day. I never see any development from this practice.
