I got an email from my NJchickcheck saying there is a Spring Poultry Fanciers show in Sussex County on May 16th. Does anyone here know anything about that? I'd love to go...have no idea of what happens at these though....can birds be bought, sold, traded, etc?

its an open poultry show. they have a bunch of chickens and pigeons for sale and some ducks and geese? i think? sometimes haha. i always end up coming home with a few more chickens =] but its better to get there early because all the good ones go fast. if you want to sell birds you have to pay ..$2 or something to use a cage. i missed the last one so i'm excited =]

Oh boy! I'm so happy that this show is in May this year rather than april. I haven't been able to go the past few years because I've been down at school during the show. I will be there (hopefully) this year though!

There are usually a ton of birds for sale and they typically have a small auction type thingy. The show is pretty large too, but I usually go there for the sale birds. I haven't shown in quite a few years.

Hope to see some of you there too!
