May 1st Hatch ***HATCHING!!!***

I have had 14 chicks hatch out of 24. I think I shrink wrapped the other ones by accident. The humidity went low this morning, and I had to open it to refill the water resevoir. Grr.

Here are mine!! I have a "bakers dozen"--13

The blackish and the greyish chicks are Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas and the light yellow ones, without any 'chipmunk markings' are Favorelles. I bought those eggs from BYC member Pasafino Farms. The Favorelles are already sprouting their cheek puffs. All the chipmunk chicks are from my own EE roos and various hens.

EDITED to add: Oooooooops, the fourth picture is of LAST weeks hatch

and the darker ones are eggs that I bought from Peachick. They are Solid Blue Marans....not....Ameraucanas.

How cute is that little beak peeking out!
