I'm going to try and talk a few other BYC-ers into coming, too

This is TN, so why worry about the weather? As soon as you make a decision based on current conditions, those conditions will instantly change and make you regret said decision.

A little rain would be nice, and keep the dust down!

Well, maybe not a party butit will be fun . . . . and I lost my first chick last night

was 2 days old, had it for about 24 hrs, I was given it b/c it had gotten its beak pecked and needed TLC, I put her in with my broken leg orpington, who is about 6 weeks old now, and the little chick pecked Annie's eyes! but annie just let her do whatever . . . she woke me up at 3:30 am squaking so I got her out and held her, the little one and annie. I fell asleep and 30 min later when I woke up the little chick was on my lap limp . . . still had a heart beat, tried giving her sugar water, mouth to beak, nothing . . . tried for 30 min . . . first chick I've lost so far . . . .

so in my depression I think I need to come home with at least 1 fuzzbutt to help me thru these hard times . . . .and need at least 1 more to keep the first one company . . . .

Is this like a flea market but with a show portion? I'm just looking for standard breeds, nothing fancy. I just want some more White Leghorn Chicks. Are there any standard breeds there for sale? Or would I just be better of going to the flea market?

wegotchickens - that is sooo true about the weather, lol! I think only east tennessee-ers would understand that one!

jywel - sorry about your baby

We will be there for sure probably around 10 or 11-ish. I don't have a BYC shirt unfortunately, but my husband is 6'3" (hard to miss) and we have two young boys... I hope to see some of you there!
