What kind of Dorkings?

Welcome over.

They are white. Although the seller said he has been getting 10% or so hatching grey. (Not sure about dorking genetics...

) All parents are white. It was all I could find in the VA area and her dad is coming out in a month and a half to pick them up, so white/grey it is! They have some cool looking ones on some hatchery pages but they are all sold out for the year. I like hatching and my daughter thought it would be cool to have "her" chickens here and some there...so dorkings we hatch!

Yes they are easy enough to replace.......or eat.
Much easier to make them in pairs.
What's it to ya weather or not I'm a woman?

nothing to me, just female fuss over their weight more than males lol, and you thought sally said you were fat.
my doctor said i lost 5lbs on tuesday sooo

Hello everyone!!! I am now joining this group because my bator hatch is this week and on Sunday I pick up some dorking eggs to start next week sometime for my daughters dad. If I can find some Delaware hatching eggs in the next week those might get tossed in to bc he wants both. (So far no luck finding someone in central/east va with some!) Anyhow.. will post updates next week once I get my hatch done and the dorkings started. (What a name..Dorkings...

I love my Dorkings! They are wonderful birds. They are sexable at hatch which is great as knowing gender is second in anticipation only to how many hatch!

Are you getting red or Silver? Ours are Silver grays.

She was young here and never camera shy!

WELCOME OVER!!!!

Good Morning. I am in the April Hatch a Long but I can't keep up, it is moving too fast. Looking at this thread, not sure I can keep up with it either, but here goes. Set the eggs April 16th, Day one April 17th, expected hatch day, May 7th.

Set 6 LF Lemon Blue Cochins
6 breeders choice mix bantam Cochins - blue mottled, blue split black, mil fleur, buff mottled, and two silver laced.

Candling Sunday. Broody girl is holding her own. This is her first brood. Hope she's good mama.

See you on the thread!
LOL TOO FAST!!! Welcome over!!
