Well now i feel dumb because I wasn't sure what they were but they came with the silkies I got. I probably could have sold them as cute buff fluffs

we definitely have some cheeping from the nest , but broody is not giving anything away this evening. I shall just have to wait till tomorrow, and hope she's more in a mood to show then...

I am not sure if my Delaware is broody but she just growled at me when I was going to get eggs. Told her "Well excuse me Mrs. Panties in a Twist!"

10 out of 10 marans hatched I assisted 3 when I got home.

I thought I’d post come pics of our now two week old BCM and OEs from our Mothers Day hatch! They just moved out of a plastic tote and into the chicken tractor in the garage.

Sorry I haven’t replied lately! For some reason I stop getting alerts for watched threads Has anyone else had this problem?
Anyway, my Ayam Cemanis I hatched haven’t been doing well They’re all really small, and most needed assistance hatching. Three have passed away I’m supplementing them with Vitamins, but it doesn’t seem to help.

Where did you get the eggs?

What temp and humidity were you at throughout your hatch?

I got them from a seller on Craigslist( I know that can be risky), and the temp was 99.5.F- 99.6F throughout incubation. The humidity was a bit high( 50s or so) but I couldn’t get it to go lower. About 20 others hatched fine regardless( different source of eggs) and are still doing well. The weird thing is I hatched a Cemani cross from an egg I got from the same seller, and it hatched fine and is still doing great, so I don’t think it’s a nutritional deficiency. Overall I had an about 90% hatch rate.

Yes, same problem here with notifications. I’m sorry about your chick problems with the AC!!!
