no, Moonshine hasn't allowed a rooster near her before. She's very opinionated, and all I have seen is her evading them. After all they are much larger than she is. Somehow our new cockerel has succeeded in winning her favor, if but for one time. The size difference may make it unlikely to happen again, and it may also create a problem for the developing chicks in those small eggs. We shall see.

Spitzhaubens lay white eggs, Sebrights beige, here are what is left in the incubator.

I have 8 Swedish Flower Hen eggs due to hatch tomorrow, and another 4 on Saturday. Both under broody hens.. fingers crossed!

That's where I got the Ameraucana eggs I just put in the incubator, too! Though mine are Wheaten/Blue Wheaten rather than BBS. Small world!
