@FortCluck here’s some more of your favorite boy. :D he’s so hard to photograph. 😭

Pretty sure my Delaware chick hatch is going to be a flop! I have had 2 hatch and 1 that died while zipping overnight. The remaining 2 I just moved to my Janoel 12 so that I could clean up the hatcher before I put in the d'Uccles (I will move the 4 unhatched eggs - 2 Appenzeller that have until tomorrow evening and the 2 Delawares that have until Sunday evening - back once the hatcher comes back to temp). I did the nail test over the remaining 2 Delaware eggs and it did not move over one of them (so more than likely DIS), but still did over the other one. I can't see an internal pip, and have absolutely no idea where it's head may be. So really have no clue where to begin to help it.....or even if it will be worth it? There is probably a reason it has not pipped on it's own. I was kind of worried about these eggs when they got here as they weren't the best packaged eggs (but 5 of the 6 made it to lockdown). I did go back to the listing after they had arrived and took a much closer look at the pictures and saw that the rooster had crooked toes. So whether that was crooked toes that just didn't get straightened as a chick or a more serious deficiency problem?? Could it be part of why I am having trouble with this batch? 🤔
