May 2020 Hatch-A-Long

I had to eliminate 3 more set eggs today, day 8 for them. 2 more Meyer eggs, one BA and one Partridge rock. And one from my local source, white egg. Some of these have saddles, but solid air cells. I hope they make it to the end. I am down to 19 eggs. (7 quitters total, and 4 clears) these eggs are mixes, ant the tan and one white egg are pures.

She's here! Hattie is our first baby and it was a PERFECT hatch! Such a cutie! We have 5 more with external pips but we are still only on day 19 so I'm not even hoping they hatch yet.

We had 6 more hatch so 26/29 hatched that’s good enough for me! These chicks from the other farms eggs are ridiculously cute. I need to sell them before I keep them all.

Since most of my last hatch, (not my frizzles) They are rainbow mix, and diff egg colors mix, I want to be patient and not re-home any till I see who is who and decide what roosters to keep. Some times I jump the gun and want to get them homed off. I did have to remind myself the last batch I rehomed were brown eggers from just a health food store, just to see if they were fertile. I have many brown eggers and am moving towards getting olive, and blue eggs in my flock. (currently just 2 blue/green eggs is not enough) At this point I only have ten egg layers currently active, and with sharing my eggs, sometimes we don't get enough eggs.

Me too. I have no idea what these are but they had colored egg layers and brown egg layers in my assortment.

Not sure what I should call them. I’m going to put them for sale asap before I get too attached.
