Yes! The kids were like “Look! It’s moving!” A few said it looked cute. Tomorrow afternoon we are going to draw the air cells together and calculate % weight lost since day 1. Should be a fun time!

I have several broody hens so I'm having them hatch out some of my Peahen and call duck eggs.

I went to my local store, they were selling eggs from a Hispanic family in town, They had many colored eggs, I grabbed mostly the gray eggs, because I like that color. They had pink too but this is what I wanted. Heating them up to go in incubator. They were put in cartons pointed end up, I have them fat end up now. One had an aircell in the wrong place.

The above eggs went in last night, they had the fertile dots in them. Next day.

So today I went back to the store and grabbed a couple doz more. I was thinking about the pink eggs. I am heating up a diff incubator (not putting cold eggs in with heated eggs.) below are the new ones.

Your Crevecoeur: are they all black? We have some(50), great layers(they) are the egg loaf girls, we were sold black & white. What color are yours? Thanks for great posts. Help me not be frustrated

Lost one today…

The 4 clears still appear clear. But 2 are pretty dark (one is olive AND speckled), so they’ll stay for now. If I lose them plus the bloodline one i took out, that puts us at 13. I hope the rest keep growing! (& maybe a clear will surprise us, fingers crossed!)

We have 13 Silver Laced Barnevelders in the incubator (first eggs set from our breeding pen), getting ready for lockdown in a few days. I can't wait to candle them, we had all viable at day 7.

Wasn't able to do it tonight. Had to bring my mom to the hospital.
