Did you notice if they have dark head spot or light wing spots? Some of mine had one or the other but some had both. So not very useful.

I'm new to Buckeyes, so I'm not sure.
My Bielefelder males always have a white spot on their heads for a week or two, and white lines on their backs.

It sounds like the color sexing trait is stronger in bielfelders. But I’m guessing with buckeyes it would vary by line.

Day 10. All 15 are doing well, but the two that MAY be pure Cream Legbar are definitely smaller than everyone else. They both were among the last to hatch, though. The weird wings on the one that looked like a jet-fighter are already gone. I did water supplemental vitamins for about three days. There are interesting color variations in all of the chicks. It looks to me that some of the parents may not have been pure themselves. I've read that the color patterns of chicks don't carry over into adults, though, so I guess it will be a while to see what they are really going to look like. Here are the chicks in the "holding cell" while I clean the brooder.

Coop is set up, Hen should get all the babies tomorrow,
