Oh wow! As soon as I posted I saw this! I'm so excited for you. 😄

Well done! Even though it's gone into the incubator now, how amazing that you got it this far in your bra!

I have ANOTHER broody, another one of my Bresse. She’s not getting any eggs lmao she can sit her fat plucked butt on ceramic eggs all day, but I’m probably going to break her by putting her in a dog crate for a couple days. I need eggs, not more chicks, darn it! I have 13 girls (plus broody Mozzarella on day 14) and I only got 6 eggs today. l hope it’s just an off day for them.

One more week for Mozza. I hope she makes it.

Just realized I didn’t update on my other 12 eggs with all the excitement over miracle bra egg. 😆

7 eggs developing for sure. Pictures of two them below. 4 eggs I am uncertain on. There is darkness in the egg but I can’t see veins like with the others. One egg has a crack but seems to be developing still. Keeping an eye on it.

Also interesting is the 4 I’m not sure on - they are all serama eggs. It’s my first time hatching that breed so maybe I’m just missing something? Not sure.

Hi there
I'm new to the forum! (Although I've followed for years)
I just set my second round of eggs a couple of days ago with a due date of 5/16
My last round finished up on 4/23, but my hatch rate wasn't great (18/35). Before that I hadn't hatched in about 8 years!
I made some adjustments before I set these eggs and I'm hopeful for better results! (Bought 36, 3 didn't pass inspection, so I'm starting with 33 this time)

LOL you sound like me with the ANOTHER broody! Mine are killing me!!! So March 3rd my SF went broody, that was the one I gave eggs that didn't end well because they got broken she broke shortly after on March 14th Then March 22 another went broody, that was the one I gave eggs to when they went into lockdown, which again didn't go well and I took the babies. She finally broke 4/17. March 30th another one went broody, she went in jail so broke April 8th, so I broke down the jail and put it away.. then April 20th ANOTHER one went broody, she hatched and raised chicks last year so debating on letting her try again this year but she will only be broody 2 weeks before my incubator eggs are due to hatch which is what I would give her....... Well then my SF went broody AGAIN on April 23.. she went into jail on April 24 and was let out I think on the 26th? maybe the 25th and was broken.. waited and took down the crate this morning and wouldn't you know it ANOTHER one went broody today!!!! I swear she saw the jail gone so figured it was her time. LOL She also hatched and raised 1 baby last year.... So now debating on getting the local eggs this weekend and letting her hatch, but that takes up 2 nest boxes which will cause an uproar...... So I may break her. SO if you kept up that is 6x broody (with 5 girls) since March 3rd. LOL I do have 18 girls so not horrible but OMG! LOL it hasn't even really gotten warm here yet.

I am expanding my run (can be 2 separate runs or 1 big one as needed) and adding a 2nd coop that is 6x6) over the next few weeks.... So I could MAYBE move her after chicks hatched, but not sure how she would be with that. so I may just break her starting tomorrow night. I have found it is MUCH faster the earlier I do it.
