Only 3 days left for Moonsparkle's eggs! I'm getting nervous now! I hope she keeps sitting tight. It's been 28 days so far because she was on infertile ones for an extra 10 days at the start so I'm hoping she doesn't quit now.

I managed to candle them really quickly and 9 of the 10 eggs look good.

Do you think the hens know when the eggs are getting close? Like, if she can feel them moving or maybe even hear them it might let her know to hang on in there?

Mine are in lockdown now. 8 out of 12 made it here, although I can't tell if the blue eggs are still going or not.

Out of the 41 I started with, I have 34 left. 8 are silkies/Silkie mixes I will raise to know gender and keep a few of, the other 26 are for a customer. I have had so many early quitters this time, I think my uncle stored them in the basement instead of on the counter….usually the ry don’t quit this early. I’m going to have to tell him to go back to the counter…

No pips yet for the 7 bantams in incubator 1. I honestly expected them to start today but it’s still early. A little worried I’m not seeing much rocking or wiggling by this point. No chirps that I can hear either. Live stream is thoroughly boring thus far lol

When I gave my girl the eggs at lockdown last hatch I could tell she knew when they were moving. She spent more time looking under her. And they do talk to the babies when they are hatching so yes they can hear them chirping.

What day are you on? My incubator eggs seemed to take forever last time. Especially my 5 eggs. I had myself convinced they were DIS even though I peeked and they were moving in the eggs. Lol

I had 23 in incubator. 13 hatched, including 1 on the wrong side of the egg but hatched on its own. There is another one that I saw some bruise on the shell at the small end, but I will let it hatches out on its own, too.
Now waiting on the last 10, we are on day 22 today.
