~May 4th Hatch~ Whose With Me~~!PICS!~

Isn't funny how they come when no one is looking:tongue My students watched all day but not one of the 7 that has pipped decided to hatch. I just know I will come to school tomorrow and find a bator full of babies.

All 7 are blue and splash silkies. I now have another pip but I think that my little cracked eggs quit

jennh Ive opened several eggs that have died right before hatching. Eggs that are incubated at lower temps take longer to develop. Wait a couple days after to see if you have any late bloomers.

My humidity got too too high so I opened the bator just real quick snatched the egg and candled it (please don't get mad I know your not supposed to) and when I checked it did the same thing my ducks do when they die. An odd bubble thing forms and spreads. The little darlin is a splash silkie wishiwasjane. The other 5 eggs have officially pipped

I have 4 babies out and dried I had 5 but one died during zipping? IDK why.

I still have I think 5-6 of my own left all piped and I have 6-7 of my aunts eggs to go only 2 of those have pips.

My DH just woke me up as he was leaving for work, because he wanted me to see that a chick had hatched out in the "Cochin" 'bator! [And for a guy who's not into all my chicken adventures, he seemed plenty excited about it, too!] Anyway, the chick musta pipped and zipped after I'd gone to bed, and it's completely out of its shell already! It still looks wet and dark, but I think it might even turn out to be blue (obviously, the "ideal" coloring for a giant Blue Cochin). Come on out, Chickies... baby #1 wants company!
