May be taking DH to the ER - UPDATE!

Does he have a fever and is the pain persistent? If it is indeed his gallbladder and it's acutely inflammed and/or infected, try to get him to the docs as soon as you can. I hope the snow clears up for you guys and he can get the care he needs.

He really needs to go. I had the same thing happen to me that happened to him 2 years ago. Mine happened 7 years ago and I ended up in the hospital for almost 2 weeks with e coli throughout my entire body. My doctors told me that I was very close to death.

As far as the surgery, its a piece of cake. But if he doesn't have it done, he's looking at complications that could/will keep out of work for weeks or months.

Tell him to put his big boy pants on and get it done!

HUGS hun. I know you're worried about him. Sending you positive thoughts.

Blessed be!

Laurie

- that is what it is like trying to get my DH to go to the hospital when needed. Finally I told him he was being selfish! (which is what he tells me when I do not take care of myself)

Selfish because I love him and worry about him - worry can make a person ill plus it give me blazing migraines - why would my loving DH want to do that to me?

Ok, enough about us.

I hope

Then you truly understand how dang scary the e.coli can be. The doctors didn't tell us until after it was all said and done that he only had a 50% of survival. He's still dealing with the after effects. The levaquin (one of the antibiotics used, there were four total) has screwed up his tendons and the doctor says his immune system will never be normal again.

He's not hurting this morning, so in his mind the problem doesn't exist.
I'll keep y'all posted. Thanks.

I have the same problem from the levaquin. That's what I was on too. Has anyone else in his family had similar problems with their gall bladder? The reason I ask is because my daughter had nearly the same problem as I did. They told me that sometimes these problems are hereditary.

And with him thinking no pain, no problem???? That's what almost killed me. Stubbornness! UGH! Good luck hun!

He had an attack while grocery shopping, but he's brushing it off. I'll just go on nagging. Worse comes to worst and he has a doctor's appt. for Friday, for his regular re-check and don't think I won't blab it all to the doctor.

Get him looked at in the er. My dh ignored it til he woke up yellow one morning. It ended up damaging his liver which is still trying to recuperate. He had over 200 stones and it took over 6 weeks before he could go back to work.

Had my gallbladder out when I was 21. It had been bothering me for years but had not been diagnosed. I was really glad to have it gone after all the misery it had caused me.

DH saw the doctor today, finally! He's on two antibiotics and two meds to calm his gallbladder down so he can finally have it removed.
